Congratulations to Victorian based Harwood Andrews, who has been named the Regional / Suburban Law Firm of the Year at the prestigious 2016 Lawyers Weekly Australian Law Awards.
Commins Hendriks was a finalist in the category.
The 16th annual awards were announced at a black tie ceremony in Sydney on 2 September 2016, attended by the firm’s Solicitor-Directors Bill Thompson, Julianne Carroll, and Courtney Hunter, and Chief Executive Phillip McIntosh.
Mr McIntosh said while it would have been nice to take home the Gong, the firm was proud to even make it on to the list of finalists.
“We were up against several regional firms of a similar to size to Commins Hendriks – from Albany, Townsville and Burnie – and several larger firms based in the Sydney and Melbourne suburban areas with branches in large regional centres,” Mr McIntosh said.
The winner, Harwood Andrews, is Victoria’s largest firm with offices in Geelong, Melbourne, Ballarat, Bendigo and Albury.
