Tonya commenced her legal career with Commins Hendriks as a paralegal and spent ten years gaining experience in the areas of estates and conveyancing. Following this, Tonya moved to the Litigation team and has developed particular expertise in workers compensation, private debt recovery, commercial litigation, and health law.

In 2008 Tonya commenced studying to obtain a Diploma of Law and in December 2012 she was admitted to practice as a Solicitor in NSW.

Tonya is a Senior Associate of Commins Hendriks and currently works closely with Directors John Potter, Julianne Carroll, and Courtney Hunter. Tonya’s invaluable experience in many areas of the law offer clients a practical and effective resolution to their legal problems. She forms part of a dynamic commercial law team, providing advice to business and commercial clients. She also works closely with our Family Law team and continues to represents her clients on workers compensation and litigation matters.

Tonya also takes great pride in playing a role in the development of junior solicitors to the firm given her experiences. “I have been fortunate to spend a great deal of my working life in a professional legal practice and have gained invaluable insights and knowledge through these experiences. Working within a strong team environment holds benefits not only to our clients given the results that are achieved, but to the staff as we all work with a shared objective of doing the absolute best for our clients.”

Tonya enjoys travelling and spending time with family and friends, often on a lake water skiing.
